The difference between logistics area and bonded area

A free trade zone is an economic and trade zone with isolation facilities under special management. Goods may enter and exit freely between the bonded area and the outside of China, and are exempt from customs duties and import link taxes, from examination of license certificates and from routine customs control procedures, except for goods prohibited from import and export by the State and goods subject to special provisions.

Also called the bonded warehouse area, it is the economic region which is established by The State Council and implements the special supervision by the customs, it is the economic region with the greatest openness and freedom at present in our country. Its function is positioned as "bonded storage, export processing, entrepot trade" three functions. According to the current relevant policies, the customs shall carry out the closed management of the bonded area, and the goods from abroad shall carry out the bonded management when entering the bonded area. Goods from other parts of China entering the bonded area shall be regarded as exit; At the same time, the departments of foreign trade and economy and foreign exchange control also implement relatively preferential policies for the bonded areas compared with those outside the zones.

The bonded zone has the functions of import and export processing, international trade, bonded storage and commodity display, enjoys the policy of "certificate exemption, tax exemption and bond", and implements the operation mode of "outside the customs". It is one of the economic regions with the highest degree of opening to the outside world, the most convenient operation mechanism and the most favorable policies in China.

The international logistics area is a place for the preparation of goods for domestic and export sales, which integrates warehousing, distribution, processing and multimodal transportation. Its main functions include commodity distribution, cargo distribution and container transfer.
